Fixing A Wet, Damp Basement, Crawlspace, Or Cellar

For those of you struggling with damp Basements, Crawlspaces, and Cellars there are a few measures you can take to help dry these areas up. First measure is follow suit with the previous blog in regards to negative drainage towards the house. Make sure that all of the water around your foundation is draining away from the house. A second measure is investing into a dehumidifier to help remove the moisture from the air in these areas. A third measure for crawl spaces is to make sure that you have some sort of vapor barrier between the gravel or dirt and the air in the area. These simple tasks and solutions can make a tremendous difference in the moisture quality in these areas.
